Introducing Santa Clarita Chiropractor Dr. Thomas Polucki

Dr. Thomas Polucki

Simply put, I was a skeptic. Raised in a medical family, I never considered chiropractic as a real option for treatment, much less as a career.

In high school, I was an average student but I tested well, so much so that in tenth grade I tested for advanced placement to Johns Hopkins medical school. Around that same time, I was on my second prescription of antibiotics that winter and my headache medication was giving me an ulcer. I was in a minor car accident, my neck got so tight that I couldn't look to the left and my headaches turned into migraines. Out of desperation my parents brought me to a chiropractor. We got lucky! Within a few months my headaches, bronchitis, ulcer and neck injury were not just better, they were gone and he never twisted or cracked my neck. This was not what I expected so I started looking into what this chiropractor did differently than most doctors.

I did not go to Johns Hopkins, I knew that what happened for me in that chiropractor's office was bigger than me or my pain in the neck. I didn't understand it at the time but wanted to find out everything I could. So I went to the school that my chiropractor went to. While there at school, I found out that only a very small percentage of chiropractors are trained or practice the way that helped me so much. I was very fortunate to learn from some of the earliest pioneers of this dramatically different approach in chiropractic and my learning didn't stop with graduation. For the next 15 years I sought out doctors who were consistently producing extraordinary results for their patients. I became a teacher myself and went back to school again both to learn and teach at two different schools. How many doctors do that? Now I am excited to share what I have come to accept as the most important single thing people can do to improve their health.

My goal is to exceed your expectations of chiropractic, just as mine were so many years ago and to help as many people as possible rediscover the world living Beyond Relief.

I will not accept a patient that I am not 100% positive that I can help. No doctor can guarantee a cure and if you are one of the few people that do not see some immediate improvement, I guarantee that if after four visits you are not happy with your decision to try this, you will get your money back and a recommendation of what else you may try.

The most rewarding moments over the years have been when a current patient brings in a friend or someone in their family to see if I can help them. I still get chills when a new mother hands over their baby and asks me to check them for the first time.

Dr.Polucki and his wife.

I met my wife by accident. While studying with a very successful doctor in New Jersey, I met one of his patients and fell hard. The only problem was that she was leaving to start at UCLA in a month. We kept in touch and over the years I started finding more and more seminars in California. She has put up with me now for eight years, even through going back to school and starting a new practice. She's a keeper!

We enjoy remodeling our house, sometimes.

Every year we adopt a new charity cause. This past year we supported Zonta and their work with women, Child and Family Wellness Center and the Gentle Barn. The Gentle Barn rescues abused large animals, rehabilitates them and then brings inner city children from difficult situations to come work with these animals.

I have been a chiropractic patient for the past 25 years and I'm not ashamed to say that for me, I will be going for the rest of my life. At this point I get a tune up about once a month.

I work every day at staying strong and healthy. My most recent discovery is Russian Kettlebells. A few minutes a day gives me better results than I used to get with an hour in the gym.

I am a vegetarian, it's not for everyone but everyone could benefit from more raw vegetables in their diets.

I do not recommend the flu shot or vaccinations, the science does not support it. This may be a difficult decision for some people but please do the research and don't just go on someone's opinion, no matter how authoritative or well meaning they may be.

Prior to my initial chiropractic experience, there was not a time that I was not on some form of medication, but as astounding as it seems I have not taken any drug other than Novocaine for some dental work in the past 25 years.

“Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural care Beyond Relief? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.”

Dr. P Asks some important questions of interest to Newhall residents - Chiropractor Newhall Dr. P Asks...

Where do most Newhall residents get their first vertebral subluxation complex?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation complex. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Newhall newborn.
Which organs are extra?
You don't have any spare parts. Sure, we can survive without our tonsils, appendix, gall bladder and several other tissues, but each serves a purpose. We chiropractors recognize this. So the chiropractic approach I use in Newhall is to reduce nerve interferences to the control and regulation of every tissue, organ and system of your body.
